Raw Sorcery, Primordial Magic, or Natural Magic is the type of magic capable by all creatures, though typically its greatest potential is with sapient natural creatures like humanoids.
Creatures that are supernatural (like spirits) or preternatural (like faye or magical beasts) only have a very limited use of raw mana. They can only simply concentrate and firing it as relatively weak bullets or spheres of energy doing minor to moderate concussive force. As such they much prefer to shape into magic circles and runes or transmute the mana into a physical phenomenon and use it like stereotypical magical effects.
Natural humanoids, on the other hand, have much more control and potential with directly manipulating mana in its raw and purest form (to make up for their lack of bending reality). As such, for raw sorcery they are referred to as skills as opposed to spells.
Raw Sorcery is an natural defense mechanism possible for all human beings (regardless of whether they are aware of its existence or how to apply it). Whereas arcane magic beings can only use raw mana as a physical force projectile or use to create signs to order mana, raw sorcery takes it as dynamic power.
Unlike beings who use arcane magic, natural magic beings are restricted to only their inherent ability (generating mana plasma) but since they all do this, it levels the playing field between natural sorcery users. Also, many beings have unique differences in how much they can generate at one time, the type of consistency, and whether or not they train their skills.
Sapient natural humanoid pulls mana in from environment, mana near their bodes turns into magical ionized gas, magic stuff in hands can be made into constructs, mimic other substances, etc.
In this type of magic, the magic user taps into and resonates with the vibrations and wavelengths of ambient mana that exists in all matter within their vincity. During the process, the practitioner becomes a conduit to the rush of magical energy flowing within their general area, instantaneously. The influx of raw mana energy ionizes the air at a rate that generates a room-temperature ionized gas (20-30 C) called mana plasma. The mana plasma and is mold-able by a person’s movements and internal electric potential.
Mana Plasma A substance produced when ambient mana is collected into and ionizes a fluid medium, such as air or water. When first produced is light and airy like a multicolored flame. The current color will depend on the substances that were energized to create like blue for oxygen.
Once generated, mana plasma quickly condenses into a non-newtonian fluid. That is, it acts like a liquid when being poured or moved, but like a solid when a force is acting on it. This includes outside forces acted upon it or concentration of mana by its wielder.
Once manifested, mana plasma can be made to levitate, or otherwise move in response to the maker's electrical potential. While mana plasma is traditionally manipulated through the motions of one's hands and feet, certain magicians are able to effectively manipulate their element with only minimal movement of their body, such as by using just their head or torso.
Raw sorcery revolves around the use of mana plasma and its properties.
Mana plasma can cover things such as an object on one's one body, when struck it will harden forming a protective cover or strengthen one's strikes
Large volumes of generated mana plasma can be shaped into tools, objects, weapons and other items, and/or create structures/buildings of varying permanence. Once a person has mastered the construction of a certain object, they can conjure it and dispel it in an instant, whenever they want. The skill of the wielder can determine how fast they can make the amount of mana plasma they have behave like other states of matter such as a liquid or a solid. The consistency of the object can be changed in different states, for example, it can be made into an amorphous glop that either hardens upon impact or absorbs the shock by staying soft, depending on the user’s skill. It can even be made to dissipate in explosion-like shock-waves without producing shrapnel.
Mana plasma can actually kill microorganisms like bacteria by damaging microbial DNA and surface structures without being harmful to multicellular tissues.
An advanced raw sorcerer can change the properties of their mana plasma to mimic the properties of other substances. Transmutating mana plasma can also give it properties that don't necessarily mimic real things by combining the properties of other materials into something that might not naturally exist.
- Channeling energy:
Mana plasma can be used as a medium to channel the kinetic energy of various types such as mechanical, thermal, even the magical energy of active spells. In certain cases, natural magic can be used to direct the flow of internal energies like a person's bio-electric field.
- Meta Magic:
Although not exclusive to Raw Sorcery, channeling magical energy can produce meta-magical effects; being able to directly alter the effect of skills or and bend it to your will. The meta-magic effects will even work on ordered spellcraft spells. They can be made to last longer, shorten the duration of a harmful curse, negate a spell altogether, amplify a spell’s power or range, make one's skills more difficult for someone else to dispel.
- Mana Manipulation:
Advanced raw sorcerers can directly control mana without turning it into mana plasma, allowing the user to manipulate the ambient mana within non-living things in a certain way, generally by moving them around akin to telekinesis.
Shooting (Aimed):projectile targeted before firing, or accelerated pre-existing material (Guided): freely controlled projectiles during its course to target
Bombardment: aimed attack firing a cone/bundled stream or multiple projectiles concentrated at a single target
Melee: User strikes either directly with magic or via physical enhancement.
Area of Effect: affect multiple targets within a certain area
Device: Magical device is used directly as a weapon, including energy constructs
Barrier:Erect defensive barriers usually in spherical or hemispherical shape. They can defend in all directions, but are not suited to repeated/combination attacks. They work by absorbing the power of an attack in order to reduce damage.
Shield:This type describes skills that generate powerful shields. In contrast to barrier type skills, shield type spells can only guard in one direction, but are much more difficult to penetrate. Also unlike a barrier type defense, these skills defend by repelling the energy driven against them.
Generate: Opposing energy is generated radially outwards from the user to a specific range which repels incoming forces.
Caging: surrounding object with barriers or otherwise restrict their actions, so they can move inside but have no way getting out.
Binding: surrounding object by robes/chains/lines that keep them confined so they can’t move at all, or at best wiggle slightly.
Disabling: disabling the target by preventing their bodies/nerves from reacting.
Anchoring: object is locked/immobilized on certain spot but can otherwise act.
Healing:recovery from physical damage like trauma, removal of pain in a certain site, eliminating infectious agents
Replenish:cleaning, recovery from fatigue, or enhancing effects of other magic
Interference: weaken or canceling the effects of other magic
Transportation: increase speed or range of movement
Illusion: Altering the target’s sensory information
Schools of raw sorcery with specific focuses like that of martial arts styles
Full Action - Grand physical actions generate plasma that extends the range and amplifies their force
Emission - Focus on emloying effects from a distance including energy discharges
Tactic - the use of indirect effects like surroundings, hidden traps, and binding locks set up to disadvantage the opponent
Armament - A recent school based on understanding and relying on the unique capabilities of one’s magic assisting device
Akashic - Mana plasma is used in tandem with one's chi to ionize, shape, and enhance the duration of techniques

Situational - fluid & dynamic materials for on-the-fly situations
Solid Set - dense and sturdy constructs for the long term Notes
Notes- I wanted to get into the mindset that if humans were considered magical creatures like fairies, unicorns, and elves, what would an uniquely ”human” magic take form as but still have humans be well human?
